Christmas Outfit Ideas

I love wearing red on Christmas day!

My favourite way to wear Bright red as a Hair colour type (as it's not in my colour palette) is with vanilla cream.

Wearing red on Christmas Day is a tradition steeped in symbolic and cultural significance. Red is one of the classic colours of Christmas, and its association with the holiday comes from both historical and spiritual origins:

  1. Religious Significance:
In Christian tradition, red symbolises the blood of Christ, shed for humanity's salvation. During Christmas, it serves as a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice and the deeper meaning of the holiday.

  2. Festive Symbolism:
Red is vibrant, warm, and celebratory, embodying the joy and love that the season represents. It’s also associated with life and energy, making it perfect for festive gatherings.

  3. Link to Santa Claus:
The modern image of Santa Claus, with his iconic red suit, reinforces the colour's connection to Christmas. This imagery has popularised red as a dominant holiday hue.

  4. Pagan Influences:
In pre-Christian winter solstice celebrations, red berries of holly and other plants symbolised life and fertility, as they thrived during the coldest, darkest months. These traditions were later incorporated into Christmas customs.

Today, wearing red on Christmas is a way to embrace the holiday spirit, whether it’s through a bold red dress, a casual print tee, or accessories.

It’s cheerful, timeless, and universally festive.

Let’s explore the different reds using your Coco eBook!
