Dressing For An Event
During our Annual Boss Babes catch-up on Saturday night, we celebrated the 9th anniversary of our Boss program with almost 200 of the 2,000 Boss Babes in attendance.
The Boss Babes came from all over Australia and New Zealand to attend the celebration. We also have Boss program Members from all over the world who we hope will join us someday. Even our children joined us to celebrate.
My Boss in your wardrobe program is way more than just learning how to build, love and sustain the perfect wardrobe, it also comes with a beautiful group of women that encourage and inspire each other every day.
Imagine being part of a vibrant and empowering community who motivate you to be the best version of yourself. That's exactly what My Boss in Your Wardrobe program offers. Apart from learning a complete wardrobe plan, your personal colour type system, fashion tips and tricks, you get to connect with like-minded women, share your fashion journey, and help each other get dressed every day. It's a beautiful experience that enriches your life beyond just your wardrobe.
Now, here are some easy tips for you when you receive an invitation to attend an event.
Start by taking a closer look at your current wardrobe before heading out to shop. With a little creativity and resourcefulness, you may be surprised at the stylish and unique outfit combinations that you can put together from the clothes you already own. Not only is this approach cost-effective and environmentally friendly, but it also allows you to showcase your personal style in a way that is both effortless and sustainable.
Investing in timeless pieces for your wardrobe is a smart move. These pieces are key to creating a versatile wardrobe that will last a lifetime. Some examples of these timeless pieces are sequins, frills, pussy bows, chiffon, and classic pleating. These items not only look great but they also never go out of style. By purchasing these pieces, you will never have to worry about the trend of the moment or when you purchased them as they will always be in fashion. So, invest in these timeless pieces and watch your wardrobe transform into a classic and much loved collection.
It's essential to determine whether you have high contrast (blue skin) or low contrast (pink skin) and collect statement pieces accordingly. As a low contrast colour type with pink skin, soft neutrals suit me more than any of the other colour types. Therefore, it's best to search for pieces with strong details in soft colours.
Invest in bold statement jewelry that can elevate any ordinary outfit and make it suitable for special occasions. For example, as someone with a cool skin tone, blue denim is the perfect complement to my pink complexion. I opted to wear a frilly chambray blouse with a large silver statement necklace, (and I couldn't resist pairing it with chambray shorts, since I've been working hard at reformer Pilates), I felt amazing!
My final and best tip: Please remember, no one is really paying attention to what you are wearing. They are too busy being so excited to see you. You made it, you showed up. That's all any of us want - for you to be there. So, go ahead, get dressed, and go out there. The world is waiting to see you.
