How To Wear Wide Leg Pants

Wide leg pants are fun!

But they can also be scary at the same time.

I'm going to give you some tips to take that fear away completely and have you giving them a try - even if it's just a try-on.

First of all, you need to decide if you are going to wear them long.

If you are, make sure that they don't touch the ground.

Try them with your heels that show your toes which have the hem of the pants sitting just above the vamp (the top) of your foot.

If you are going to shorten them to be worn with a flat street sneaker.

Feel free to shorten them anywhere from hovering just above the top of your foot (the vamp of your foot) or crop them further to just above your ankle bone (you can even go higher than this for an extreme crop look).

Choose a street sneaker that has a ladder effect by way of shoe laces.

A ladder on your flat shoe gives the visual appearance that helps the eye to climb up the shoe and up your silhouette rather than just across the solid foot.

Also, a print shoe gives a broken up effect so the shoe (your foot) won't seem as solid and chunky.

So you can wear either or both.

You can still wear your solid (no laces and no print) boots in Winter with the wide leg pants but make sure they aren't flat and have a heel to raise and slim your leg line under so much fabric.

Most of all, have fun!
