How to choose a leather jacket

New winter trend: Leather jackets.

It's actually leather everything, skirts, pants, dresses, jackets, trench coats and even shirts but leather jackets really are a forever thing.

So before you invest, let's have a look at what would work the hardest in your wardrobe.

  • Always buy your leather jackets in a neutral colour to keep them traditional and a forever classic (I've had mini since 2011).

  • Do you like a strong collar? I prefer no collar so that I can change how it looks near my face depending on what I wear it with.

  • Make sure your leather jacket is not the same colour or tone as the shoes you tend to wear the most in the cooler weather.

Crop length leather jackets will prefer to be worn with dresses, skirts, shorts with boots, high-waisted pants, high-waisted relaxed denim jeans and denim flares.

Below hip-length jackets (below and like mine above) will work back with everything along with skinny jeans easily.

Oversized loose and longer fit jackets need to show more skin below so you need to be a lover of mini skirts and boots and shorts with boots in winter.

Now it's down to "WHICH COLOUR DO I BUY?!"

Blue skin: Light Grey, Burgundy, Navy or Black.

Orange skin: Antique white, Copper, Dark teal or Charocal.

Pink skin: Oatmeal, Light taupe, Burgundy or Charcoal.

Peach skin: Ivory, Soft peach, Royal blue or Teal.

It's an item you don't need to have! But if you own one already or have always wanted one, this guide will make sure you love it and thrash it!
