Going away with Family and friends?
Sure, you're going away to relax, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still be creative and make a stylish impact with your comfy clothes.
If you’re spending seven days with family and friends in Adelaide (for example), think about the rhythm of your trip.
Mornings wandering through the Adelaide Central Market with a hot coffee in hand, grazing your way from the mushroom stall to the fresh pasta guys.
Lazy brunches at one of the dozens of beachside cafés, Henley, Glenelg, Somerton Park, Brighton, each with its own personality and people-watching perks.
Soft, salty breezes as you wander Jetty Road, a quick duck into the cute boutiques, and maybe a cheeky gelato stop on the way back to catch the tram.
Then there’s an afternoon drive up to McLaren Vale or the Adelaide Hills… rolling vineyards, warm cellar doors, that golden SA sunshine that makes everything feel like a holiday, (even when, like me, it’s your hometown).
And of course, the always-busy Rundle Mall, buskers, shopping bags, and that “let’s just have a look in here” energy.
It’s a week full of movement, memories, good food, and your favourite people.
And it’s exactly the kind of week where you want your outfits to whisper, “Oh this? I just threw this on,” but in the most Boss, easy and stylish way.
So don’t just pack jeans and a tee.
Of course take your jeans, just make sure you bring the pieces that instantly elevate them: the stripe shirts that don’t crease (or look even better when they do), the cool prints, the tube skirts that layer perfectly, the lightweight knits that add interest without adding bulk.
You’re not spending a week casually resting at home.
You’re spending a week doing all the things, in all the places, with all the people you love.
Show them how effortlessly stylish you really are, but in a comfy and familiar way.
Pack with the intention to inspire.
When you decide to show up, your life rises to meet you. Because when you dress like someone who’s alive, curious and paying attention, your days start giving that same energy back to you.
