How Do You Get That Contrast Right

Let’s look at contrasts and how it plays out for each of the four colour types.

Picture this: you diving into your wardrobe with excitement, not just working with your natural colour contrast but also vibing with your personality's colour type contrast in your cross-referenced best colours.

High contrast: Blue skin tone and Peach skin tone colour types.

High contrast consists of black to white next to each other within an outfit.

To counterbalance an all-white ensemble, opt for a black shoe to create a striking contrast.

Similarly, the reverse holds true for an all-black outfit by adding a white shoe.

You can achieve high contrast within a single item, like my scarf in the picture below.

This versatile piece can be layered over a sleek all-black ensemble, a crisp all-white look, or even a bold, colourful outfit.

Note how I gave you two examples above of adding a light nude soft pink shoe or a much brighter pink colour.

You get to choose depending on your mood for that day but Peach skin-toned ladies will always pick the coloured shoes. Absolutely, every time! 😊

Now, let's explore the ultimate outfit combination for the Blue skin-toned colour type: Pairing black and white for a striking contrast, complemented by one (and only one) of their absolute best staple or focal colours.

Blue skin-toned colour types would choose a more neutral tone for their shoes in the first outfit—neither white nor black.

Whereas Peach skin-toned ladies can effortlessly rock up to seven colours simultaneously with unmatched elegance so they would naturally add coloured shoes and a vibrant handbag to the initial outfit.

The key is to avoid directly matching your shoes to any other element in your outfit for an extremely stylish polished look.

Here's what I want you to do.

Go to your wardrobe and practice 3 High-contrast Blue skin tone colour type outfits and then put together 3 Peach skin tone High-contrast outfits.

Then put them on.

Which style feels better? Which one feels comfortable?

Which one makes you feel like you own it?

Which skin tone carries your personality?
