My must-haves for your walk-in robe or dressing room.

Number one is a full-length mirror.

Just as you should always have a mirror right by your front door in order to check yourself before you open the door to visitors or for one last check as you are rushing out - a full-length mirror in your robe is a MUST!

The fact that you can get a mirror that will fit anywhere these days makes it super easy. I mean how great are the slide-along and out mirrors? You can truly fit one anywhere.

Number two is a low-hanging fancy pendant light in the middle of the space. Even if you have downlights everywhere. A single pendant light will increase the light right where you need it most plus add that real glam factor!

Number three - don't have the entire room or space in just one finish. It's best to mix up the textures, surfaces, and colours. Blonde woods with white and dark wood with black and blonde for instance. Make sure you add softness and woven baskets to balance out those hard shelves. Even consider adding some wall art.

And my final tip which is the most important of them all.

Don't get cull regret

Don't chuck/give your clothes away just because you are bored or you think your wardrobe looks better that way.

You know perfectly well that you will only go out and buy the same exact things in order to fill a void that you just created.

Don't do it to yourself! Don't do it to the planet and please don't do it to your credit card.

Create a "still thinking about it container" rather than moving items on before their time.

Or even better still. Challenge yourself to make those items work by actively playing in your wardrobe.
