The Shift From Winter into Spring Styling
The transition from winter to spring styling is subtle but crucial for enhancing your wardrobe's versatility.
You will need more Knits and enough boots (light, dark, colour and a print) that covers your whole foot up to above your ankle bone as a minimum in Winter.
In Spring you will be showing your ankles and layering with a long sleeve tee and blazer.
Make sure your long sleeve tee is cut well and loose enough to float away off of your skin for the middle of the day when that sun warms up (or during a hot flush) when you may wish to remove the blazer and always correct your neckline when wearing a top that comes up above your face length.
Now, are you ready to show your ankle bone and heels?
This is when our shoes get a lot more feminine with the classic sling back style so the best way to balance this in spring is with a pair of jeans or chinos.
So, which colour sling backs should you choose?
You know I always say grab a light pair, a dark, a colour and a print.
The goal is to frame your final hemline effectively.
Depending on your colour type, identify the denim shade (or pants colour) that complements you best, and choose a contrasting pair to make your outfit stand out.
If you are tip toeing into a brand new style of shoes (see what I did there), try a print pair fist.
As long as the print is equal in nature (not more light or more dark), it will contrast all denim.
