Wearing Your Skirts in Autumn

The longer we refrain from wearing our pants and jeans as the weather starts to cool down, the more excited we remain about our wardrobes.

This is when our skirts come into play and I really hope this inspires you to play with yours.

Skirts with splits are fabulous for showing off and exposing your gorgeous boots.

Do you own any spilt skirts? Can you grab them out and try them on with every pair of boots you own to see how many outfits you can make?

I've gone for solid black boots in the outfit above so that my jumper is the colour, while my skirt is a light neutral and my boots are a dark neutral, leaving the detail on the skirt or even the knit as my print ( LDCP ).

The dark teal of my jumper below, however, I have used as my dark, colour and print with my bright white boots being the strongest light contrast.

This time my cobalt blue jumper is the colour while my skirt is the light and the print (texture) with my boots being the dark (always contrast that last hemline).

One more example to get you playing with your skirts.

In this last outfit, I'm going for a full print clash with every item containing detail.

Column skirts love a street sneaker but if you fold your waist band over to shorten the length of the skirt, you can also wear them with an ankle boot.

Right, now it's time to go and have fun with yours!
