Your Colour Strategy For Working In Your Wardrobe

I hope you’ve been having a wonderful time playing in your wardrobe with your Coco eBook and moodboards.

Now let’s go a step deeper.

You’ve already got the tools in your hands:

Let’s unlock what they can really do for you.

Your Mood boards boards are your first guide and are designed to be subtle so that when you hold them up under your chin, you can see which tones naturally complement your skin best.

They aren’t meant to ‘pop’, instead, they sit back and blend, helping you discover the colours that truly bring out your best.

You may have felt drawn to either Creative or Vibrant, that already tells us you have a warm skin tone!

From there, it’s just about refining whether your skin leans more Orange (Creative) or Peach (Vibrant).

Once you pinpoint that, your Coco (Brilliant Colour Combinations) can take you even deeper, helping you build a wardrobe full of colours that work together effortlessly from your skin colour page.

But there is even more to the story. Let's have a look at the different personalitites that you can include back with your naturally born colour theme.

This is where it finally starts to make sense…

All those outfits that almost worked, but never quite felt like you?

It’s because style isn’t just about your colours. Or just personality. It’s about how the two work together

When you blend your Colour Type with your Style Personality, the magic happens.

The colours they share? Those are your confidence boosters. Your feel-good shades. Your “finally, this is me” moments.

It’s about how your natural features and your evolving identity work together (it's the science behind style).

It's blending Your Colour Type with Your Style Personality.

The colours those two have in common (natural-born colour type and evolved colour personality) will be your favourites!

Ready to find yours?

Let’s walk through this step-by-step:

Step One: Start with your Colour Type (The one you picked from your mood boards). Go to your colour type description below. This is your natural skin colour type, the one you were born with. Read it thoroughly. Let it really sink in. This is your foundation. These are the descriptions for items in your wardrobe that bring you to life effortlessly.

Step Two: Now, head to your Style Personality
This is about who you’ve become. Your personality has been shaped by life, experiences, preferences, and how others have treated you. Read your style personality description slowly. Does it feel like home? Is this your energy? Your essence?

Step Three: Bring them together
Now the real magic begins. Take note of where your colour type (from your chosen mood board) and style personality meet. This is your sweet spot, the colours, moods, and moods-within-colours that make you feel the most like you. Don’t overthink it; start imagining what this fusion might look like.

Step Four: Try it out with 4 outfits
Create four outfits using your style personality as the guide for silhouettes, fabrics, accessories and vibe but stay fully inside your colour type's palette and your colour personality cross-over colours.

This is how you build a wardrobe that feels right because it is right. Not trend-led. Not someone else’s style. But yours.

🎨 The Smile-Creative Style Personality

She sees her wardrobe as a blank canvas.

Her style is expressive, unpredictable, and full of personality. She dresses to please herself. She's experimental. She’s not afraid to mix patterns, layer textures, clash colours or throw in something unexpected, because for her, getting dressed is an art form.

She will pair a vintage jacket with modern sneakers, clash florals with stripes, or wear bold accessories just because they make her smile. She doesn’t dress to fit in, she dresses to tell a story.

Creative dressers often feel most alive when their outfits reflect how they feel inside: colourful, layered, emotional, and ever-changing. While others might play it safe, she finds joy in experimenting and breaking old-fashioned style rules.

Signposts of a Creative:

  • Drawn to bold colour combinations

  • Loves to mix vintage with modern

  • Embraces asymmetry, layering, and playful details

  • Sees fashion as a form of self-expression, not a set of rules

The challenge?

Too much creative freedom can sometimes lead to being overwhelmed or lacking cohesion. But once she finds her anchor pieces (and her colour world), her wardrobe becomes a playground with structure.

🎨 Creative - Emotional Descriptions

“She doesn’t follow trends, she creates them.”

“Her wardrobe is like a gallery, each outfit tells a story.”

“She dresses how a song might look.”

“She’s not afraid to be seen, she’s afraid of being boring.”

🌹 The Hair-Romantic Style Personality

She’s drawn to softness and femininity.

Her style feels feminine, flowing, and intentional. She often gravitates toward florals, ruffles, lace, delicate jewellery, and gentle fabrics that move with her. For her, getting dressed is a way to feel graceful and put-together.

She doesn’t need her outfit to shout; it gently speaks. Whether it's a soft blouse, a draped dress, or a touch of shimmer, she leans into details that feel pretty, polished, and quietly powerful.

Signposts of a Romantic:

  • Loves flowing fabrics, soft textures, and pastel tones

  • Drawn to lace, florals, pearls, and elegant silhouettes

  • Outfits often have a dreamy or vintage-inspired quality

  • Finds confidence in feeling beautiful, not bold

The challenge?

Romantic dressers can sometimes get stuck in the idea that “pretty” means “safe.” But with the right shape and structure, they can shine in both softness and strength. Just always add something tough to balance the dreamy.

🌹 Romantic – Emotional Descriptions

“She doesn’t get dressed, she adorns herself.”

“Her clothes feel like a love letter to herself.”

“She doesn’t chase attention, she draws it in, softly.”

“She finds magic in the feminine, the delicate, the beautifully undone.”

🎭 The Eyes-Theatrical Style Personality

She was born to stand out.

Her style is striking, dramatic, and polished. Think strong silhouettes, high contrast, bold accessories, statement coats, powerful prints, every detail is chosen to create impact. She doesn’t just walk into a room. she arrives!

There’s a touch of vintage glamour or high fashion flair in how she dresses. She enjoys turning everyday moments into a runway moment and loves being remembered for what she wore.

Signposts of a Theatrical:

  • Loves structure, strong lines, and luxe details

  • Drawn to rich textures like velvet, leather, satin, or metallics

  • Accessories are often bold, think oversized glasses, a dramatic hat, or red lips

  • Gets a thrill from being put-together and powerful

The challenge?

Sometimes, Theatrical dressers can feel “all or nothing.” But with the right foundational pieces, it’s easy to channel high-impact style without the pressure of perfection.

🎭 Theatrical – Emotional Descriptions

“She doesn’t enter a room, she makes an entrance.”

“Her wardrobe is her armour, sharp, striking, unforgettable.”

“She doesn’t wear outfits, she wears statements.”

“She doesn’t shy away from bold, she is bold.”

✨ The Smile-Vibrant Style Personality

She’s full of energy, and her wardrobe reflects it.

Vibrant dressers love colour, joy, and boldness. Whether it’s electric blue pants or a bright yellow coat, she’s not afraid to be seen. Her outfits often feel fun, fresh, and full of movement. There's usually a pop of colour, a twist on a classic, or something unexpected.

She radiates positivity and confidence, and dressing up feels like turning the volume up on her personality.

Signposts of a Vibrant:

  • Drawn to bright colours, unexpected combinations, and playful styles

  • Loves prints, statement accessories, and feel-good fabrics

  • Often feels “off” in all neutral or flat outfits

  • Finds joy in dressing up just because

The challenge?

Vibrant dressers sometimes struggle to edit their looks. It's for this reason that they own more than anyone else. In other words, They Need All of The Things!  But once they learn how to simplify their outfits, their energy becomes even more magnetic.

✨ Vibrant – Emotional Descriptions

“She’s the pop of colour in a black-and-white world.”

“Her outfits feel like sunshine, bright, unfiltered, contagious.”

“She doesn’t overthink style, she plays with it.”

“She lights up a room, and her clothes are the confetti.”
