Handbags and belts - what are the rules these days?

Should we be matching our handbags to our belts or matching our shoes to our belts?

The easy answer is NO but of course you know me, I like for you all to have something to hold onto and look at, refer back to and perhaps even put away in your "Stuff from Nat" folder.

Your handbag and belt should have different colours - never match them.

If you only collect tan in both your handbags and your belts, just make sure that they are in slightly different levels of tan.

My kind of tan is a cool tan that works with my cool skin tone.

Both the bag and shoes are cool tans but my shoes are darker (cool taupe).

Even though orange tan is a warm colour, I will always buy orange tan shoes because they contrast so well with all my clothes and skin - I like my shoes to always be the feature.

Belts and handbags however in my life, I prefer them to blend. It's up to you how you roll with this - BLEND or CONTRAST.

Not repeating the colour within your outfit helps to achieve this easily.
