You Don't Drown By Falling In The Water, You Drown By Staying There
Getting dressed is probably the last thing on your mind right now.
Our priorities have changed…
Most days, we don’t have to worry about what to wear.
A lot of women feel relieved over this…as they don’t have to worry about getting dressed because there’s no one to see.
Now, this goes against popular opinion…but I believe this is the best time to get dressed.
First, when we get dressed, it sets the tone for our day. For most of us, we feel more creative and inspired.
Second, you get to dress for YOU. Even if it is just a very casual outfit.
And by getting dressed for yourself, you get to know yourself more. To know what you like without any pressure from shop assistants. Or worrying about what other people think. (Not that we always worry but sometimes it can't be helped.)
I know that for many, getting dressed might sound like a lot of effort, but it really isn’t. It’s very simple once you have a plan, you won’t even have to think about it.
All you need is three steps:
1. Decide that you want to sort your wardrobe.
2. Be open to experimenting with colours, shapes, and styling.
3. Have a plan and start with the easiest steps to get there.
Just imagine, when all of this is over when the whole world opens back up...
...and the events and invites start pouring into your mailbox…
…and you didn’t have to sacrifice brain space, comfort, or feeling amazing when you look in the mirror? (Whether you’ve put on covid kilos or not?)
What would it be worth to you if getting dressed was as effortless as putting on pyjamas and ugg boots?
We can’t control what goes on in the world right now, but thankfully, we can still make choices, especially
Or you could carry on as normal, watch videos and read magazines and put off worrying about it until later.
Each day moving forward, whether you stay at home or go out...
